Stop Being A Hater

Jealousy is a serious emotion… one that is stronger than most emotions. How I dawned on this thought is when I read “Carbon Copy,” by Azarel. In sum, it spoke about how one was so jealous of a person’s life, was that they were willing to kill the person, copy their lifestyle and take everything they owned. Some quotes that were in the book that are very influential are:

Jealously… a mental cancer. The envious die not once, but as oft as the envied win applause – Author Anonymous

The jealous are troublesome to others but a torment to themselves – William Penn

Envy is the most stupid of voices, for there is no single advantage to be gained from it. – Honore de Balzac

Hopefully these quotes can be instilled in my readers’ minds. Reading these quotes, as well as the book makes me tell my readers to try to avoid feeling this emotion. If you envy what someone has, seek out to get it, maybe you can have a better experience with it if you get it the natural way. Being envious of others is not a good trait because if one may like what they see from the outside, but the inside of the person they’re envying may not be so great.

Love yourself for what you have, be open for more opportunities because you never you where you can be. If you notice that your envy for a person is very strong, seek help. Whether it’s talking to a friend, a support group or a counselor, don’t let these feelings stay hidden. I say this because you never know, you can be that person on the 10pm news due to causing some form of violence.

P.S. Appreciate people for who they are and appreciate yourself for what you have. In life, when you think you have it bad, remember there is always someone in worse circumstances.

“Love yourself for what you have, be open for more opportunities because you never you where you can be” This is very important for people to know and realize, because sometimes you may think that person you are envying has a famous life when in reality it’s the total opposite. By looking at what you have and paying attention to the people that love you will stop you from envying others. A word from the wise, no one truly has everything they want in life, we all lack something.
